How far would you go to turn someone into a “good boy”?
Nineteen-year-old Tommy lives a reckless life of partying, drugs and violence – until one night he is abducted by a stranger, Chris. He wakes up chained in the basement of a remote house, in the middle of a strange, dysfunctional family. Chris and his wife Kathryn are determined to turn him into a “good boy” through forced rehabilitation – lessons, rules and kindness, enforced with punishment. Tommy can think of only one thing: escape. The first English-language film by Jan Komasa, the Oscar-nominated director of “Corpus Christi”, is a dark, unsettling comedy-thriller about violence, control and the price of being “good”. Also known as “Good Boy”. World premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2025. In English.
